Baking Pirozhki with Grade 7

Recently, all our students have been truly restless cooks, impatiently awaiting for the new kitchen cabinet to be put into operation. This Monday morning, seventh graders learnt how to bake a rather scrumptious Russian dainty - pirozhki. Together with Miss Natalia and Miss Valya, students mixed raw ingredients for the fluffy dough and filled the boat-shaped buns with mushrooms, onion, mashed potato, jam and chocolate. Of course, they glazed them with egg in the end so that a golden crust is formed. It was time to go back to class and around lunchtime, children came back to test their creation. There was plenty of any flavour for everyone to enjoy. Watch out, they might attempt to bake you some at home!
