Two days ago, St. George International School and Preschool held a Halloween party, unlike any we’ve seen in the past. Not only was it unique with its activities that blended both educational and entertainment, but for the good cause behind it. This year’s Halloween idea was to raise money by letting the children have fun. The theme for Halloween for Grades 5 -10 was to raise funds for the "I Can Too" Charity. The "I Can Too" charity is an organisation that supports children with special needs and their families in Sofia and Plovdiv. The students generously supported the event, by taking part in a variety of Halloween activities such as pumpkin carving, cake decorating, spooky science and festive games. Additionally, the activities during the event were very much worth the money for their ideas. A total of BGN 1400 was raised just in two hours! This is a tremendous community effort our students should be proud of. A beautiful example of Bulgarian children helping Bulgarian children. Representatives of the "I Can Too" Charity will come to the school to give a presentation on their work as well as receive the money.
