When history comes alive in the classroom

During interesting and captivating history lessons our 10-graders experienced a very diverse week.

First, they held an amazing “balloon” debate. The students had to pick deceased characters from history and comment on their significance. Those who lost in the discussion had to exit from the imaginary hot air balloon, created by the class. Students managed to represent the roles of Idi Armin, Martin Luther King, Hitler, Stalin, Jesus, and George Washington.

The second important part of the week was related to the Historical investigation into Jack the Ripper. He was an unidentified serial killer active in and around the impoverished Whitechapel district of London, England, in the autumn of 1888. For all the students it was a real challenge to dive into this historical period and learn more about its key moments.

Amazing job by our 10-graders who took the roles very seriously and show us perfect historical skills.
