The programme at this stage includes the learning content of the subjects English Language, Mathematics and Science according to the student’s age in compliance with the Cambridge International Education for primary education and the State Educational Standards of Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Bulgaria.
Our objective is for all students up to the end of the stage to communicate freely and confidently in English and to have developed skills in Mathematics, Science and Bulgarian language.
We work hard on building a solid mathematics and science foundation, so all students become life-long learners who wish to extend their own learning potentials. At this stage, we focus on establishing time management skills, independent learning, preparation for exams and competitions, searching and analysing information, and reasserting reading habits.
As part of the academic process students can opt for fine and performing arts, digital literacy, technologies, music, physical education, swimming lessons and performing arts. These subjects balance the programme and foster the students’ overall development. Our programme maintains an abundance of options for the students to enhance their oratory and public speaking skills and others.
Teaching in the 4. grade is based on achieving high academic results in the Cambridge Primary Checkpoint and National External Assessments, as well as preparation for the smooth transition into the Lower Secondary Stage.
After the end of the compulsory programme, optionally and for an additional fee, the students can opt for fine and performing arts, foreign languages, sports, technologies, co-curricular clubs, self-preparation class.
