House Cup Championship: A Day of Games and Sport Spirit

🏀 The Minister of Youth and Sports, Mr. Georgi Glushkov, former basketball player, first Bulgarian who played in NBA and President of the Bulgarian Basketball Federation was a special guest at the award ceremony during the Sports Day at St. George International School and Preschool for lower and upper secondary students.

⚽It was a day full of dynamics and excitement. The students competed in various team and individual sports – football, basketball, volleyball, table tennis, dodgeball, badminton – to win the House Cup. Every individual or team victory earned more points for the respective House, and all participants were highly motivated in each competition to win as many points as possible and contribute as much as they could to the overall success.

🌟 The award ceremony turned into a true celebration for the students and their teachers. The Head of school, Mr. Buckley, congratulated the students and thanked them for their efforts and successful performances. He expressed his gratitude to the teachers for their support and organisation, and especially to the Physical Education and Sports Department, who received a loud round of applause. Ms. Petraru, Head of Secondary, also congratulated the children for their excellent performance and commitment.

🏆 The prizes and the House Cup were awarded by Minister Georgi Glushkov, who shared with the students: "I would like to express my gratitude to all who organised this day for you. Follow your dreams both personally and in sports. I know you have international achievements in various sports, and I encourage you to pursue your goals. This is one of the best schools I have visited, so you have the privilege to study here and develop yourself. I really want to thank your parents, who support your sports activities, and I hope you will soon achieve results that will make you and the school proud. I want to thank the hosts once again for this invitation and the opportunity to be here among you, and I wish you success in school and sports!"

🤸‍♀️The winner of today's competition is the "Wolves" House with 1480 points. The "Bears" ranked second with 1430 points, and the "Eagles" took third place with 1390 points.
