This summer, St. George and Logiscool invite all curious children to embark on an exciting journey into the digital world! Logiscool is a world-renowned programming and digital literacy school, offering curriculum for students in Grades 1-12 in over 180 locations in more than 30 countries. Adventures with LEGO SPIKE (6-9 years old)

The school camp is focused on learning, based on STEAM programme, and aims to combine science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics to guide inquiry, discussion and problem-solving. Key parts of STEAM education are programming and robotics, which have a mani role in LEGO SPIKE. LEGO SPIKE combines colourful LEGO blocks and parts, easy for using hardware and intuitive programming. With the help of LEGO SPIKE our young learners will turn into robots’ inventors, cars constructors and adventure parks creators.

KODU 3D Games Design (6-11 years old)

Microsoft has created a virtual environment for programming, suitable for children, wherein they can make projects of their own games. With KODU they can let their imagination run wild, create their own world, build landscapes in 3D, and then populate them with their own characters!

"Hacker" Coding Camp (6-11 years old)

In the school camp “Haker” the children can master a programmer's mindset by solving exciting challenges. This camp is also focused on developing their creative thinking, problem-solving and logic skills.

Mysterious codes and secret messages

Now, more than ever, we need skillful and creatively thinking programmers, as a group of evil hackers have decided to stop YouTube forever and to delete all the videos in there. During this summer camp the children will have to solve mysterious codes, and to read secret messages, so they can solve the YouTube problem. While taking part in exciting logic games, the children will learn not only the fundamentals of algorithmic thinking and programming, but will also develop their creative thinking, problem-solving and logic skills.

Digital Illustration (8-10 years old)

The children who will take part in this programme will dive into the sphere of digital creativity by learning the basics of drawing and character design through interactive group projects. They can also glimpse the future of digital graphics through 3D presentations and various solutions using artificial intelligence. The camp culminates in character animation using simple programming techniques, offering a peek into the future of digital graphics. This immersive experience not only finds artistic skills, but also instills a deep respect for the digital arts while preparing for the final presentation of their work in a specially created virtual exhibition for peers and parents.

Generative AI (9-12 years old)

The children learn to create and interpret texts, images, and sounds, generated by artificial intelligence, encouraging not only their creativity but also critical thinking about the ethics and future implications of artificial intelligence. It is the ideal programme for young minds interested in the latest technologies, giving them the knowledge and the skills to be innovators in the fast-paced digital world.

Creating mobile applications (10-18 years old)

Our camp programme gives aspiring creators the opportunity to bring their app ideas to life. They will learn the basic principles of user-friendly design and basic programming concepts, including variables, loops, and functions, using the intuitive Thunkable platform. Participants will design, program, and test a variety of applications, from a daily exercise schedule to a personal calorie counter, by integrating device features such as a camera, microphone, and more. At the end of this camp programme, they will acquire the skills to create useful and innovative applications that can become part of their daily lives, while at the same time laying a solid foundation for future research in the field of digital creativity.

Applications for Android (10-18 years old)

In this camp-school, your young learners create their own mobile software and learn the design and programming skills needed to develop apps using MIT's App Inventor - a visual development environment. The participants will need a Google Account and an Android phone or tablet to try out their new apps right away.

Junior designer (10-18 years old)

In this school camp, children can try out real-life projects: through real tasks, they can feel how a designer's daily life goes. During this adventure, the participants will learn to use professional image editing tools, learn the basics of typography, and learn how to make a really cool presentation. They will be able to try all these things and also start to build their own brand: we will help them design their own logo, and also, they will be able to show the world their T-shirts - created in a week, advertising graphics and other works of their super cool website!

Studio YouTube (10-18 years old)

During this camp programme, the participants will learn the basics of video and audio editing and will try out the coolest online genres! We will also discuss with them important things regarding internet trolls, online security, and the legal aspects of vlogging. By analysing the good and bad examples, we will also understand what makes a YouTube channel successful!

Digital illustration (11-13 years old)

Through hands-on projects and expert guidance, children will master the use of Krita, the popular free drawing software. They will explore different digital styles and formats as they create their own characters to get closer to discovering their own talent. The journey does not stop with the creation; the enrolled children will also learn how to animate their characters using simple programming and enter the future of digital graphics with a look at 3D modeling and AI solutions. Culminating in a virtual exhibition, this programme not only develops artistic skills, but also empowers young artists to confidently present their digital works to an audience of peers and parents, marking the beginning of their digital arts journey.

Students will sit an entrance test, based on which their level will be determined and after that they will be assigned to an appropriate programme.

PROGRAMMES:

From block programming to Mix mode (for beginners)

In this intensive two-weeks programme, children will learn the basics of programming. They will understand what a variable is and how algorithms work as they develop their own cool games. Scoolcode is our exclusive educational platform that is designed to help children learn to code in an easy and fun way. It features multiple animated characters and dynamic sets to choose from, allowing for creativity.

Godot

The course has 2 levels, each lasting 2 weeks.

During this course, students are introduced to Godot, the open source game engine, and develop 2D and 3D computer and mobile games using the Python programming language. Python is one of the most popular programming languages today, used in game and application development, data mining and analysis, robotics and machine learning, and even artificial intelligence.

Unity

The course has 3 levels, each lasting 2 weeks.

During this course, students are introduced to the development environment in which well-known games such as Temple Run, Angry Birds 2 and Pokemon GO were created. By creating simple 2D and 3D games, students can gain insight into object-oriented programming in the C# programming language. By the end of this course, they will also be familiar with the basics of virtual reality (VR).

Python

The course has 3 levels, each lasting 2 weeks.

The Python programming language is one of the most popular and dynamically developing programming languages today. It is used in game and application development, data mining and analysis, robotics and machine learning, and even artificial intelligence. After completing the 3 levels, students will be able to take the Python Entry Level Certified Programmer (PCEP) exam.
