An Amazing Journey to the University of Cambridge

We are happy to share that the World Scholar`s Cup, London Global Round 2023 has started on the 26^th of July. The event venue is the University College of London and 24 students from St. George International School and Preschool are now showing outstanding skills during this incredible adventure of knowledge.

Yesterday were the Junior Division Team Debates and today the Scholar`s Bowl and the Senior Division Team Debates took place. The academic part of the programme is always exciting and challenging but this year the senior children experienced an inspiring trip to the University of Cambridge. Their memorable tour started with a task to make research and to find the best march route and transport lines from London to the university, which they did excellently.

They all were thrilled to visit this impressive place and explored King`s College, Queens` College, Trinity College, Pembroke College, etc. During their trip, they had the opportunity to meet a current medical student at the university, who gave them more information about the application process, university admission and lifestyle. She also showed the group interesting places, and laboratories and some of our students really liked the prospect of continuing their education in the university that has the most Nobel laureates in the field of science.

An exciting part of the tour was meeting the famous tree, which legend has it that Newton was under when an apple fell on his head. The students paid special attention to the tree and studied some interesting facts.
