The holistic approach

St. George International School and Preschool recognizes the importance of providing emotional, social, and personal support to students. Therefore, all policies, rules and aspects of school life aim to make children happy, safe, engaged and able to realize their potential. 

The main principles that are woven into the program of our school are: 

the learning content is accessible to all students, incl. for gifted and talented children, as well as those with special educational needs;

each learning content is planned by applying an approach to differentiation and inclusion; 
consideration of the needs of each student and work in cooperation with external specialists and parents.

The curriculum is designed in a way that provides that lessons are planned so that pupils with SEN can study every subject, wherever possible, and ensure that there are no barriers to every student achieving. 

For the needs of the students whose first language is not English the lessons are be planned so that teaching opportunities help the students develop their English, and to support pupils to take part in all subjects. 

Students are taught from an early age the rules and values of the School. The seven core values – honesty, responsibility, respect, initiative, mutual support, transparency, and tolerance are taught throughout the entire academic journey of the students. Various activities like thematic lessons, contests, assemblies, visits to cultural places, debating clubs, celebrations, sports competitions and charity events, communication and establishing lasting relationship with non-governmental organisations and others, organised by the school ensure the options for the students to interact, communicate, relate and establish relationships and develop the abilities to listen and present themselves and learn to accept different viewpoints, respect others, help and support and be honest, reliable and responsible. The students actively participate in the school’s life through the Student’s Council and through various initiatives and projects. 

In addition to their teachers in the regular learning process, school psychologists, resource teachers, career guidance specialists and speech therapists also take care of the overall personal development of students.
