Things to Be Proud Of
On September 10, an official award ceremony took place at the National History Museum in Sofia. 31 young people were awarded with silver and gold badges for their achievements in the Duke of Edinburgh International Award in Bulgaria. Boris Ch., a student from 12th grade at St. George International School and Preschool, was among the winners and proudly presented his school and community.
The awarded students received their certificates and badges personally from Mrs. Iliana Yotova – Vice President of the Republic of Bulgaria and from the British Ambassador to Bulgaria His Excellency Dr. Rob Dixon.
The Vice President Iliana Yotova shared with the students that: “The young people of Bulgaria give us a lot with their energy and ambition, with the courage to defend themselves, to defend their positions with serious arguments. The most valuable thing is that they know how to look at life beyond stereotypes and clichés.”
We wish best of luck to each one of our students who will conquer the peaks and levels of the Duke of Edinburgh International Award in Bulgaria.
